Be a part of the Canadian Tulip Festival’s ‘Pop-up Uke Troupe’, a fun, participatory, family-friendly musical event. The Pop-up Uke Troupe will gather ukulele players and singers of all ages and abilities for a musical tour, experiencing the Byward Market from a busker’s perspective.

On the Saturdays and Sundays of the Tulip Festival (May 12 & 13, 19 & 20), players and singers will meet at 1pm at Major Hill Park for a short rehearsal (approx. 45 minutes), in order to learn the arrangements for the chosen songs. The Uke Troupe will then move into the market to play three performances (each at a unique location) of their freshly rehearsed set.

Our Pop-up Uke Troupe will meet and rehearse at 1pm in Major’s Hill Park near the Byward Market. More specifically, we’ll meet at the Colonel John By statue. Find it on google maps.
This is a Rain or Shine event. In the case of rain, an email will be sent out to everyone registered on the morning of the event before 11am. We will meet instead upstairs at the Byward Market Building (55 Byward Market Square).
